Johannes Gutenberg was a German writer born in 1393. His father worked in a mint factory, so Johannes became a jack of trades for blacksmith and goldsmith. One of Johannes’s most famous works was the Gutenberg bible in 1455. Gutenberg’s invention made it possible for novels and literature to reach out to a larger audience for a smaller price. He made the oil-based-ink which was almost like a keyboard. but you would hook it to a paper and if you press a button, it will spill ink on the paper so you could write out stories, novels, or books like Gutenberg did. Gutenberg’s invention had a long-lasting impact on society, influencing the development of modern communication, education, and teaching. It is often considered one of the most important inventions in human history. The printing press gave rise to the book trade, creating new economic opportunities and industries related to publishing and distribution. The printing press significantly spread the word of books across Europe, and the growth of publishing industries. With the help of books becoming more available education became easier to find and helped the education system grow more. The printing press spread to make people write about religious texts, scientific discoveries, and new ideas for literacy.
