Christopher Columbus was born in October 1451, in the republic of Geona. He started his sea sailing career at a young age for valuable experience, sponsored by the Catholic Monarchs of Spain, Queen Isabella I and King Ferdinand II, Columbus set sail in august 1492 Columbus made three more voyages to the Americas between 1493 and 1502, exploring different Carribean Island’s the coast of Central America, and the northern coast of South America. Columbum’s voyages spread news to Europe and the Americans leading to important cultural, biological, economic known as the Columbian exchange. His expeditions paved a path for extensive European colonization of the Americans, which had pro founded and often devastating effects on the indigenous population. It’s often that Christopher Columbus is regarded as the person who discovered the Americans, but millions of people already lived there. such as The Vikings, has reached the continent before Columbus. Christopher Columbus died on May 20th 1506 in Valladolid, Spain.
