History week 15.

The Hundred Years’ War was a war between England and France, it lasted about 115 years. The war was mainly started over territory in France that England wanted. When the French King Charles IV died without a male heir in 1328, his cousin Philip VI was named his successor. An important victory by Edward III’s fighters defeated the French by using a longbowmen. The war ended with France winning the battle and England significantly, The Hundred Years’ War saw significant advancements in military technology and tactics, including the use of longbows and artillery. The battle was fostered a sense of nation identity and unity in both England and france. France eventually regained all the territories which remained under English watch until 1558. The battle was produced in books, films, and art most famous novel of it was made by Shakespeare.
