The story follows young Jim Hawkins, who finds a treasure map in the chest of a deceased pirate. This discovery leads him on a perilous journey to a distant island, where he encounters the treacherous Long John Silver and his band of pirates. Alongside characters like Dr. Livesey and Captain Smollett, Jim navigates danger and treachery to unearth the hidden treasure. The novel captures the spirit of adventure and the thrill of the unknown. The quest for treasure symbolizes the excitement of discovery and the risks that come with it. Jim Hawkin’s journey throughout the book is cinematic and amazing, On Treasure Island, Jim encounters various dangers, including battles with the pirates and the discovery of Ben Gunn, a marooned sailor who becomes a valuable ally. The search for the treasure is fraught with peril and deception. Jim shows great bravery and ingenuity, managing to outsmart the pirates and secure the treasure. Eventually, the loyal crew members manage to overpower the pirates. They find the treasure and set sail back to England. Long John Silver escapes, leaving his fate uncertain. Ben Gunn was once a member of Captain Flint’s pirate crew. He and his shipmates had set out to find the treasure but failed. For his part in a mutiny, Ben was marooned on Treasure Island, where he spent three years in isolation before Jim Hawkins and the Hispaniola crew arrived. Benn Gunn was my favorite character being a heavy hitting big man helping Jim in his journey.
